ARCTIC RESIDENCY: In October of 2023, I travelled to Longyearbyen Norway for a sailing adventure and artist residency in the Arctic. I had a remarkable two weeks exploring this part of the world with an amazing group of international artists. Thanks to The Arctic Circle organization for including me in this incredible adventure. ISLAND PROJECT: I have been spending time hiking Rose Island (near Parry Sound, Ontario) this year, exploring the terrain and letting the ideas percolate for my upcoming Rose Island Specimen Project. Looking forward to seeing how this project evolves. Many thanks to the Georgian Bay Land Trust and its King Family Bursary for their support of this project. These works will be exhibited at Trestle Brewery in Parry Sound, ON in May of 2024 and then at Quest Art Gallery in Midland ON from June to August 2024. More information about the project HERE.

SSNAP FINALIST: I am excited to announce that my painting “Thrice Supported (In the Anthropocene Age)” has been accepted as a finalist in the Salt Spring National Art Prize. The finalist exhibition will run from September 23 to October 23, 2023, on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. All artworks will be available for sale at the exhibition and online during this time. RECONCILIATION: I recently finished a painting as part of the Call to Action #83 Art Project. This is my third time working collaboratively with a group of indigenous and non-indigenous artists on this Truth and Reconciliation project. Exhibit details coming soon.
